ABOUT PCS

I would like to personally thank you for visiting the website of Presbyterian Christian School, and I invite you to browse our website to learn more about our school.  You will be able to learn more about our student’s achievements, both inside and outside the classroom, as well as the success of our athletic teams. 

At Presbyterian Christian School, we understand that the decision you make concerning your child’s education is an important one.  At PCS your child is entering a special community of parents concerned with providing the finest possible Christian educational opportunities for their children both inside and outside the classroom.  After thirty-five years of providing an education from a distinctively biblical perspective for the young people of south Mississippi, PCS continues its strong commitment to a Christian-based, college preparatory curriculum as a means of equipping and preparing our students for the future.

At PCS we nurture the family as we strive to educate the whole child - academically, physically, spiritually, and emotionally - by using a Biblical worldview.  We believe in high standards that challenge students to develop their abilities and widen their horizons so that they may grow into independent, sensitive, and resourceful ambassadors for Christ.

We feel that our school community of students, parents, faculty, and administration is bound by the pursuit of academic excellence.  To us, education has no status quo: we are either moving forward or backward.  Thus, we continually seek improvements and additions to our school program that will move us forward into the future.  Currently, we are in the process of building a new elementary school that we will occupy in the summer of 2012, and an addition to the secondary campus that will be completed in the spring of 2012.

I believe that you will find values and standards at PCS to be excellent, and I am confident that you will sense an atmosphere in which students and teachers find pleasure in working with each other to glorify our Lord.

I would like to personally invite you to visit our school, come to a sporting event, a drama production, or any activity that is going on at PCS.  Experience firsthand the family atmosphere and Christian learning environment that is taking place both in the classroom and at our school sponsored events.
