A Welcome Letter From Our Preschool Director
Dear Prospective Parents,
Picture Coming Soon
A popular childhood song goes, “The foolish man built his house upon the sand, and the house came tumbling down,” but “the wise man built his house upon the rock and the house on the rock stood firm.” (Matthew 7:24-27) Every child needs a firm spiritual and academic foundation.
The goal of the Presbyterian Christian School Preschool is to continue the building of a foundation begun by parents and the church by emphasizing spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social growth based on the solid rock of Biblical teachings. It is our desire that this will enable young children as they grow to “stand firm” in their Christian beliefs, while also teaching that they are each a special and unique creation of God, living and growing in His world.
Teachers use various aspects of the A-Beka curriculum paired with age appropriate, creative hands-on activities that incorporate kindergarten readiness skills. We work closely with the K5 teachers at the elementary school to understand what is required of a student entering kindergarten. This coordination assists the K5 teachers in the continuing work of foundation building.
We emphasize FAITH through instruction based on the Christian Worldview; FAMILY with special days set aside for dads, moms, and grandparents; and FUN through directed group activities and self-expressed play. These layers are added to the FOUNDATION! This is exciting and important work. Please come see us and discover how we are “building a foundation” for God’s children.
