We are pleased to announce that competition archery is coming to PCS!

Erik Graham, Charles Bourland and Kenneth Stuart have volunteered to be coaches for PCS Archery.

PCS Archery will consist of three teams (comprised of both boys and girls): Elementary (4th-6th Graders), Junior High School (7th-9th graders) and High School (10th-12th Graders).

PCS Archery will be part of the Archery in Mississippi Schools (AIMS) program that is run by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks (MDWFP).   Archery is the safest school sport second only to Table Tennis.  Safety is the highest priority for AIMS and for PCS Archery. Any PCS student can participate no matter his/her current archery experience.  The AIMS Program is designed to be a very positive program. Charles and Ken have already been to the certified instructor training and Erik will be going August 12th.

We would like to know how many students are going to be interested in archery; therefore, we will have an interest meeting on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 7:30 pm in the PCS High School cafeteria after the orientation for new parents. We will discuss the specifics of the program, including costs. We are also planning to have a booth at registration to sign up for archery.

If you have any questions about the AIMS program you can go to http://www.mdwfp.com/aims.aspx or if you have questions about PCS Archery e-mail one of the coaches.
